Decaf Coffee Bags Have Landed!

Decaf Coffee Bags Have Landed!

After long request, decaf made simple. Adam here and I've got a little something for our decaf lovers.

Good coffee doesn’t always have to come with a caffeine kick. Sometimes a proper brew without the buzz is all you need, and we think that’s fair enough.

Whether you’re heading out for a walk along the Cleveland Way, packing up for a weekend of camping or simply fancying another coffee when you’ve already had three cuppas, there’s something lovely about being able to enjoy your favourite brew wherever you end up.

And that’s where our latest coffee bag comes in.

Introducing... Ness Point Decaf Coffee Bags!

A New Addition to our Coffee Bag Range

Now, let’s start off easy. What’s a coffee bag? Simple. Think of a teabag, but instead of tea, it’s packed with cracking coffee, ready for whenever you fancy a brew.

If you’ve already tried our Boggle Hole Coffee Bags, you’ll know we’re big fans of keeping good coffee simple. No fancy equipment or complicated brewing methods, and certainly no compromise on flavour. A cup, a coffee bag and some hot water. That’s all you need.

Boggle Hole has been the main star of our coffee bag range, bringing its smooth, dark-roasted character to adventures big and small. But we thought it was about time our decaf drinkers got some love too.

Our new Ness Point Decaf Coffee Bags bring one of our much-loved coffees into the same easy-to-use format. Available in boxes of 10 or 20 individually wrapped bags, they’re ready to pop into your pocket, desk drawer or rucksack. Early risers, late-night coffee lovers or somewhere in between, there are plenty of ways to enjoy a proper Baytown brew without the hassle.

A Familiar Favourite, A New Way to Brew

Our lovely Ness Point isn’t a new face around the roastery. It’s been part of our coffee range for so long, it’s practically in our DNA. This medium-roasted, single-origin coffee comes from Peru, with beans grown in the Cajamarca, San Ignacio and Jaén regions at altitudes of 1,500–2,000 metres.

Ness Point boasts comforting tasting notes of date, chocolate and biscuit, with smooth flavours and the quality you’ve come to expect from us at Baytown. Everything you’d want from a cracking cup of coffee, just with a lot less caffeine.

This is something we’re quite passionate about. As avid coffee lovers, we know decaf gets a bad rap. Decaf shouldn’t have to feel like a sacrifice. It’s something we took to heart when we first introduced Ness Point, and a belief we’ve stuck with when developing these decaf coffee bags.

Good Coffee, Anywhere, Anytime.

One of our favourite things about coffee bags is how little you need to make a decent brew. As self-proclaimed coffee geeks, we know how time-consuming brewing speciality coffee can sometimes be. And sometimes you just need a quick cuppa before work, when you’re out and about or stuck at your desk.

We wanted these coffee bags to be simple. Tear open the wrapper, kettle on, pop the bag in and brew. Easy.

They’re individually wrapped for freshness, easy to carry and don’t require any brewing equipment beyond a mug and some hot water.

Living and roasting coffee on the North Yorkshire coast, we’re no strangers to a ‘breezy’ walk or a last-minute mooch down to the beach. From Whitby to Robin Hood’s Bay, there’s no shortage of beautiful places perfect for a good brew.

Brewing Couldn't Be Easier

Here's some good news. There’s no secret technique or steep learning curve to brewing cracking coffee. Here’s all you need to do:

  1. Grab a coffee bag. Tear open the individual wrapper and pop your coffee bag into your favourite mug.
  2. Add hot water. Pour freshly boiled water over the bag to release all that coffee goodness.
  3. Give it a few minutes. Leave it to steep for 4–5 minutes to bring out those chuffing lovely flavours.
  4. Enjoy your brew! Remove the bag, put your feet up and enjoy!

That’s it. Proper speciality coffee without the faff.
